Cassidy (Born Barry Adrian Reese) was born on July 7th, in 1982 in Philadelphia, Pennyslvania. Growing up he began rapping at the age of 13 and was soon being featured on mixtapes. He attended central High School in Philly. Cassidy was the local champion on the Philly radio show “The Cypher”.
Cassidy was arrested in June of 2005 for the shooting death of a 22 year old man on April 15th, 2005. The report stated that Cassidy along with two other men armed with 45 and 40 caliber pistols, 9mm pistols, and an AK47 fired on three other men during an argument that occured at Cassidy’s West Oak Lane home just before 1 am. In January of 2006 Cassidy was convicted with aggravated assault and involuntary manslaughter and was sentenced to 11 1/2 to 23 months in jail minus the 7 months he had already served. After serving 8 months at Pennsylvania’s Curran-Fromhold Correctional facility Cassidy was released and is now on parole. |
