Cassidy Injured in a Severe Car Accident

On October 5th in 2006 a U-Haul truck veered into oncoming traffic and struck the SUV that Cassidy was a passenger in. He was taken by ambulance to Jersey City Medical Center where doctors found that he had fractured his skull and several other bones in the left side of his face. None of the four other people in the SUV were injured. Cassidy was admitted in critical condition but was said to be breathing on his own; doctors said that his injuiries were not life-threatening.

In a radio interview the following day, Cassidy’s partner Swizz Beats spoke with MTV News and asked his fans and friends to pray for his quick recovery.
