In January of 2005 Shyne was charged with attempted murder for his involvement in a New York nightclub shooting incident at Club New York on December 27th, in 1999. A man named Wicho Flores who was a member of the bloods came over to Puff Daddy’s entourage and threw money at them and drew a gun and attempted to shoot Puff Daddy and his girlfriend Jennifer Lopez. Shyne opened fire hitting Wicho in the leg and an innocent girl in the face. Shyne swears it was in self-defense and that Wicho shot first.
