Sometime at the end of August 2007 Police in Phoenix, Arizona performed searches of DMX’s home in attempts to substantiate suspicion of animal cruelty. During the search Maricopa County police found about a half pound of suspected marijuana and small quantities of other drugs. No arrests have been made and no charges have been filed, after the suspected drugs are tested DMX may face drug charges. As of now the animal cruelty investigation is still on going, the police say that DMX kept several pit bulls who were not being given enough food or water. Twelve pit bulls were confiscated from the home. The bodies of three dogs were dug up in the back yard, and several assault weapons were removed from the home.
