Jadakiss’ Weapons and Drug Charges Dropped

On October 4th, 2007, almost a year after Jadakiss was arrested on weapons and drug charges, prosecutors have dropped the charges. The Westchester County district attorney’s office has requested that the judge dismiss the charges against Jadakiss and his associates.

The charges resulted from an incident that occurred in Yonkers, NY, in which Jadakiss and two of his associates, Darnell Frazier and Kristen Smith, were arrested after police smelled marijuana coming from the Toyota camry they were riding in. Upon searching the vehicle a firearm was found.

One of Jadakiss’ associates, Darnell Frazier, was acquitted last month after none of his, or Jadakiss’ or Kristen Smith’s, DNA was found on the gun found by police.
