Kanye Wests Mother Dies Due to Surgery Complications

Dr. Donda West, 58, a retired English professor, and mother of rap superstar Kanye West died Saturday evening November 10th, 2007 because of cosmetic surgery complications. She suffered a heart attack as a result of the tummy tuck and breast reduction surgeries performed on her.

Kanye’s mother, Donda West, served as Kanye’s manager and as the chief executive of her son’s company, West Brands LLC. She also was the Chairman for the Kanye West Foundation.

Kanye has shown his respect for his mother in several of his popular songs.
