Kurupt was born in Philadelphia, but moved to Hawthorne, California in his teen years. He eventually moved to South Central. Kurupt and Snoop Dogg met after freestyle battling each other in a club one night, they soon became friends. When Dr. Dre met Snoop Dogg and signed him to Death Row Records he also signed Kurupt. Snoop and Kurupt formed a new trio group called Tha Dogg Pound, with the addition of Snoop’s cousin Daz Dillinger. |
