Lil Wayne Arrested in Idaho on Felony Fugitive Charges

Following a concert in Boise, Idaho, Lil Wayne was arrested by local police due to a warrant for his arrest issued in Atlanta, Georgia. The warrant was issued because Wayne failed to appear for two court hearings that stemmed from his 2005 marijuana possession arrest.

The Boise Police Department said that they first learned about the outstanding warrant before Lil Wayne arrived in Boise. They allowed him to perform his show, then undercover officers took him into custody outside of the Qwest Arena just after 10 pm.

Wayne was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail for his Idaho fugitive charges. He spent the night in jail and was released on $10,000 bail the following morning.
