Lil Wayne Sued For Unpaid Jewelry Bill

Jack Sutton Fine Jewelry in New Orleans has filed a lawsuit against Lil Wayne in the Miami-Dade Court, alleging that Lil Wayne currently owes $146k on a $170k purchase of a diamond ring and necklace.

Jack Sutton, the store owner who sold Lil Wayne the jewelry, says that Weezy agreed to buy the $138k diamond ring and $32k gold and diamond encrusted necklace after he described the pieces to Lil Wayne over the phone.

Lil Wayne agreed to pay for the jewelry in monthly payments, but after receiving a $24k check in October and another $24k check in January, Sutton learned a stop payment had been issued on the second check.

“I’ve been doing business with him for at least 10 years,” Sutton Said, “He’s always been wonderful with paying me.”

The Jeweler, Sutton, calls Lil Wayne “one of my best customers,” and said that, “He spent a lot of money with me. I thought we have a really good relationship. I don’t know what happened, unless it’s a misunderstanding.”

“This is clearly a misunderstanding,” Lil Waynes Lawyer Said, “If, in fact, the allegations are true, then it will be resolved. My client is very responsible.”

The Jewelry in question was a handmade platinum ring that holds a 11.55 karat diamond surrounded by another five karats worth of invisible set diamonds and a 32 inch 18 karat white gold necklace with four rows of diamonds totaling 105 karats.
