Snoop Pleads Guilty to Weapons Charges
On September 20th, 2007 Calvin Broadus aka Snoop Dogg plead guilty to the charge of felony possesion of a dangerous weapon. As a result of his plea, Snoop recieved 160 hours of community service and three years of probation. The charges stem from an incident in September of 2006 when Snoop was found to be in possession of a collapsible baton hidden in his laptop bag while attempting to board a flight at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, CA.
Snoop maintains that the baton was a prop for a music video he was scheduled to be shooting in New York.
Snoop’s felony conviction will be reduced to a misdemeanor after a year if he manages to stay out of trouble.
