Marion Knight aka Suge Knight was born on April 19, 1965 in Compton, California. Growing up Suge was involved with the MOB Piru street Bloods gang. He attended High school in Lynwood, California. Suge had his first major run in with the law in 1987 when he was charged with auto theft, concealed weapon and attempted murder. Suge is a co-founder of Death Row Records, the label that managed to dominate the charts after Dr Dre’s huge success with his album, The Chronic. Death Row Records went downhill after Suge’s incarceration and 2pac’s death in 1996. It is said that Suge’s first money in the business was made by extorting vanilla ice.
